The term "Hima" finds its roots in ancient heritage, originating from the Arabic language, where it signifies a "protected land". In history, "Hima" denoted a sanctified pasture, carefully designated to shield trees and curb rampant grazing. The essence of "Hima" encapsulates a space that not only enriches society but also harmonizes with the environment, refraining from heedless actions for mere economic gains. These enduring principles of preservation and sustainability serve as the cornerstone of our farm's ethos.
Tucked amidst the sloughs of Spencer's Island in Northern Everett, WA, Hima Farms emerged as a versatile property, dedicated to growing Native Nursery plants and cultivating organic produce. A sprawling expanse of 11.5 acres has been dedicated to the organic cultivation of a unique array of fruits and vegetables. At Hima Farms, our team takes immense pride in cultivating an assortment of Certified Organic Vegetables, Berries, Apples, Peaches, Quince, Grapes, Figs, and beyond.
