Nursery Worker / Trabajador de vivero (Snohomish)

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Horticultural preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees, using hand tools and gardening tools.
  • Transplant or pot and label plants.
  • Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs.
  • Move containerized shrubs, plants, and trees, using wheelbarrows or tractors.
  • Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping.

Farm / Nursery Worker with Tractor Operating Experience / Granja / Viv (Everett)

Responsibilities include:

  • Feeding and caring for sheep, goats, chickens, etc.
  • Harvesting produce
  • Plant care: spraying, pruning, watering, etc.
  • Operating tractor
  • Digging and planting trees
  • Any other farm or nursery chores

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to easily lift 60 lbs
  • Experience operating agricultural machinery required
  • Should be able to work independently, handle responsibility, and take direction well
  • Previous farming, nursery, or landscaping experience preferred
  • An interest in agriculture and care for animals required
  • May be English or Spanish speaking 
  • Must have your own reliable form of transportation for no punlic transit is near

 

This is a full time position, must be able to work some weekends

Nursery and Farm Foreman /  capataz de granja

Hima Nursery and Hima Farms is seeking an individual to fill Supervisor position in Nursery Operations. We are a wholesale plant nursery and Organic Farms located in Everett WA. Ideal candidates will be able to work well as a team and on an individual basis. Candidates must have the ability to motivate and lead the crew. Candidates who fill these positions will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and be able to manage crew effectively.

Applicants must have:

  • 2 years of nursery experience as a Foreman, Supervisor or some other management position required
  • 2 years of experience required of pruning and trimming of nursery and fruit trees and plants.
  • Working in vineyard is preferred
  • Herbicide applicator license is preferred
  • Organic farm experience is preferred
  • Bilingual candidates preferred
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work is outdoors, sometimes inclement weather
  • Work Schedule 5+ days a week, long hours during certain times of the year

Bookkeeper / Office Assistant

Work as part of an accounting/administrative team to provide coordination and management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Create spreadsheets and correspondence, maintain project records, filing, and other accounting support and coordination as assigned for a Nursery in Woodinville, WA area.

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, quarterly taxes, excellent knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Provide support to office and field associates.
  • General office administration
  • Track and assist in completion of deadlines and follow up on outstanding items

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office with master level excel
  • Good communication, organizational and time management skills

Essential Job Duties:

  • Be able to work under pressure caused by tight deadlines.

Specific Accounts Payable/Receivable/Payroll/Administrative Support Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track and reconcile all accounts payable/receivable for the company per guidelines set by the accountant and auditing firm.
  • Manage the coordination of payroll with the accountant, utilizing the QuickBooks to maintain employee records, as well as updating employee benefits.
  • Responsible for standard monthly and year-end accounting assistance for annual audits.
  • Provide administrative support to the accountant, and Director, such as creating financial reports in QuickBooks accounting software, monthly payroll summaries, reconciliations, tracking, and employee benefits AP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • 5 years or more of experience with QuickBooks
  • Master level excel
  • Documented experience in payroll management, accounts payable and accounts receivable administration
  • Experience with LCP tracker and Certified Payroll is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required: An associate’s degree in accounting, or business, or related field

Experience Required: Minimum five years of previous experience in accounting in the construction industry and Valid Washington State Driver’s License
